It’s a wave, it’s a wave… Let it flow.
Mission
My mission is to provide continues support, compassionate advocacy, and empowering guidance to birthing individuals and their families throughout their unique journey of childbirth. I believe in honoring the innate wisdom of each person, fostering a nurturing environment where they feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed choices. I strive to create a positive and empowering birthing experience for each family and person I work with.
Philosophy
Birth stands as one of life's most significant transitions for most, with countless unknowns. I believe that amidst the unknown, there exists an opportunity for individuals to discover their inner strength and resilience. My philosophy is grounded in the belief that while birth may be scary, it is also an incredibly transformative and empowering experience. By creating a safe and supportive environment, where individuals feel heard and respected, they can tap into their innate ability to find focus amidst the intensity of sensations within their body. I believe in empowering individuals to find their own rhythm and flow amidst the challenges and uncertainties of childbirth. I rely heavily on listening to the birthing person's intuition and staying present with them in the moment.
My birth philosophy is grounded in the principles of body autonomy, informed consent, and the delivery of unbiased, evidence-based information. I believe in honoring each individual's right to make informed decisions about their body and their birth experience, free from coercion or judgment.
“The best moments in our lives, are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times—although such experiences can also be enjoyable, if we have worked hard to attain them. The best moments usually occur when a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile.
Optimal experience is thus something that we make happen. For a child, it could be placing with trembling fingers the last block on a tower she has built, higher than any she has built so far; for a swimmer, it could be trying to beat his own record; for a violinist, mastering an intricate musical passage. For each person there are thousands of opportunities, challenges to expand ourselves.”
